I decided with an idea posted on Pinterest and a show on HGTV that we should redo our ceiling fan. Thanks to Alberto for spray painting it and placing it back up. We painted the metal Oil Rubbed Bronze and the fan blades and plastic parts Textured Bronze. On top of it I ran some sand paper over the metal and fan blades for the paint to stick then cleaned it up with rubbing alcohol. After the 1st coat of paint I took fine steel wool and sanded everything and then we put a 2nd coat of paint on. Turned out much nicer than white and brass...(YUCK!) I will post a pic in the morning in the daylight without the lights on.
Looks great, you guys did a super job. So happy to see that you've used what you have instead of sending another ceiling fun to the landfill.
