Viva Las Vegas (Here are the Pictures!!!)
Bet & I took a trip for his birthday and as you can see Bet chose Vegas. We needed some more tile in St. George (that is in southern Utah) so we decided to take the 6 hour trip to Vegas for 4 days. It was nice to get out of town and away from it all. On Friday when we arrived we checked into our hotel (Hooters [Not recommended]) and then drove through the city to meet Bet's high school friend, Ben, and his wife Ashley for dinner. It was great to catch up. After dinner we drove back to the hotel and decided to head out walking the strip. We walked the whole strip, until 3 in the morning, looking at all the bright lights, catching the
Be
lagio fountain show a couple of times, looking at the Wynn for the 1st time, etc. By 1:45 our feet hurt and we had to figure out how to catch the monorail back to the other end of the strip where we began our trip. I could barely walk the next day. On the 13th!!!! Alberto & I had a lazy day enjoying brunch at Denny's (you get a free breakfast on your birthday). That night we had dinner at Outback and enjoyed a show at the Paris (Anthony Cools, a hypnotist) where we laughed a lot. On Sunday we enjoyed the day out and about driving around. We headed to Ben & Ashley's house and enjoyed a great dinner and talk with them and their family. After dinner we headed back to the strip to enjoy the show, Zumanity, a Cirque du Soleil show, it was great and had a lot of laughs included. On Monday, we got up and got going and took a trip to Boulder City to see the Hoover Dam. I think the new bridge was more impressive, but it was neat to be in Nevada and Arizona just by walking. After this we began our journey home after trying to find our way around the huge city shopping for a lawn ornament which we are bummed to say we didn't find.
Over all it was a great trip, but definitely w
e were ready to be home in our own bed!!!
